When we eat mindlessly, we tend not to take notice of the meal we are consuming. In doing so repeatedly over time, our mind develops inappropriate associations between what we’re eating and the emotional impact it has on us.

So for example, we may falsely regard sugary or high-fat foodstuffs as sources of comfort and pleasure. Never forget this, as seductive as it is, a bellyful of mindless eating is never enough!
